you have, or know of anyone who has, copyright
we would be glad to hear from you and include your name. You may be
wondering why, on this village site, we have Clenchwarton Station. The
answer is quite simple......
Although the station was called
Clenchwarton it actually stood within the boundaries of Tilney All
Saints.
The station was opened in the late 1860's and was on the
'Joint Line'
which linked Norfolk to Lincolnshire.
The last
train came through in February 1959 The buildings were used for storage
until demolition in 1980,
when the area was cleared to build the new
Terrington and
Clenchwarton by-pass.
The new road, the A17 follows the site of the old railway
line from Lynn to Sutton Bridge.
